Director's Building Renovation, Manjushree Plantation
Client
Manjushree Plantation Limited
Built-up Area
4,904 sq. ft.
Building Character
British-era
Setting
Cardamom plantation beneath mountain slopes
The Challenge
The Director's Building is an old British-era building standing among cardamom plants beneath the surrounding mountain slopes. Working on an older structure in a hillside plantation meant assessing its existing condition first, then planning and coordinating the renovation work carefully.
- Renovating an existing British-era building
- Assessing the old building's condition
- Working within a cardamom plantation
- Site access and material transport
- Weather exposure and moisture management
- Coordinating renovation work within the existing structure
Our Approach
We took a planned, organised approach, paying attention to the existing building, its surroundings and what the renovation needed to achieve. The aim was to improve the building while respecting its original character and the plantation setting.
